Our family moved to Boise from Ketchum in 2004 shortly after I had my second child. Being able to get out and hike in the foothills behind our house was very important to me and my husband after living in a place where the Sawtooth range was practically in our backyard. Living so close to the Foothills allows us to regularly hike with our kids, and teach them the importance of respecting nature while appreciating the beauty of the land around Boise. Should we allow this land to be developed, we would surely lose part of what makes Idaho what it is—a one of a kind natural resource that deserves to be protected.

My husband Bob and I moved to Boise in 2003 from Eastern Idaho. I have been working for the Department of Health and Welfare since 1997 and currently manage the Idaho Child Care program, the Temporary Assistance for Families in Idaho program, and the Community Action Agency's programs.

I am a potter in my spare time and like to produce utilitarian ware such as plates, cups, bowls, and casseroles.

I also love to hike in the foothills and enjoy the evening sunsets.
