Hello everyone,

We hope you have been having a wonderful autumn season. The weather has been perfect. Here are just a few public service announcements.

Happy holidays!

The City of Boise is seeking community feedback as they develop the curbside compost collection program.  They are asking that you complete this survey. If you aren’t able to open the above link, please visit http://curbit.cityofboise.org to access the survey.  The survey findings will be used to help develop the compost collection program so that it best serves the needs of Boiseans.  Additionally, more information on the proposed program follows.

Your New Compost Service

THE BENEFITS •  Convenient year-round collection of grass, leaves, branches, yard  trimmings and kitchen scraps •  Finished compost available free for residents •  Curbside collection makes it easy for residents to reduce waste •  Extend the life of the landfill by diverting and reusing organic material

WHAT’S CHANGING •  Most customers will see an estimated monthly rate increase of  $3.40 depending on the level of service chosen •  Residents can select preferred cart size for weekly collection •  Yard trimmings and kitchen scraps will go in your new compost  cart – not the trash •  Compost cart will be serviced the same day as your trash cart
