Lancaster Development Proposal

Reminder for written comments and hearing on the proposed development on Lancaster Dr.

Permit CFH15-00062 or SUB15-00066. Check the City’s PDS system for more details, especially in the ‘documents’ tab:

Public comments need to be submitted by 9:00 am February 1st (tomorrow) to the Planning and Zoning Department,   

Concerned residents are encouraged to attend the P&Z meeting on February 8th at 6pm, 3rd floor of City Hall. Everyone will be allowed 3 minutes to testify.

CFNA supports the following: 

  1.  A traffic study should be done by ACHD. Although only 9 homes are proposed, share your traffic concerns about any increase.

  2. Fire safety is a major concern. Fire trucks do not have access to the upper 3 lots or eastern 2 lots in the proposal. We’d hate to see another fire like last summer’s Quail Point fire.

  3. Existing access to trails may be lost and what parking will be available for trail users?

Another area of concern is grading and the use of cut and/or fill on slopes greater than 25%.

Please consider submitting written comments and/or testifying at the Feb 8 hearing. All our voices matter!
