We hope you are enjoying the summer. With scheduling conflicts and an overly full calendar of events for so many this summer, we are going to push our National Night Out (NNO) neighborhood activities from August 6th to sometime in September.

Working with our colleagues at the Ada County Highway District and the Boise City Fire Department, we have identified a project to re-paint the fire hydrants in our neighborhood. The Fire Department will supply us with paint and brushes - we just need you! Look for more information in the future as we confirm dates for this project as part of our delayed NNO event. We might turn this into a fun fundraising activity, culminating in a fun nature walk in our beautiful foothills. As a reminder, please keep in mind the following guidelines:

Drivers are prohibited from parking within:
15’ of a fire hydrant
20’ from a marked or unmarked crosswalk
30’ from a stop or yield sign
unmarked crosswalk, and 30’ from a stop or yield sign

And for more information on NNO in general, please visit:

We would also like to take this opportunity to give special thanks to Helen Thorsen. Helen has served as CFNA Vice President over the last couple of years. New demands of her time have to pull her off of formal board duties. Helen was instrumental in so many of our neighborhood projects and activites, especially NNO and chipper projects. Always willing to contribute and conduct much of the pre-event research. Helen, please accept our gratitude for all that you have done to make this neighborhood so wonderful!! We will miss you on the board Helen, but so glad you will still be in our neighborhood..Thank you for all that you have done in behalf of CFNA!
If anyone is interested in participating on the board of CFNA, please contact Dorothy Finaldi or Angela Wickham.

Note: The CFNA Hillside to Hollow (H2H) work group will be meeting on August 6th for more planning. If you are interested in participating in this workgroup, please contact Joanie Fauci at,or any board member.
